Coach Dick Caine's Facebook Post on Phill Kearns

Captain of the Wallabies when they were able to beat the All Blacks. Phil Kearns, not just a great footballer but a gentleman of gentleman. Paying Dick one of his most loved and treasured compliments. "To Dick and Jenny my first ever and best coach, Go hard".

I always thought Phil would have made a great coach. It did not matter who you were, Phil never walked past you unlike some other over paid, over fed footballer of today who think their shit does not smell. You see, Phil Kearns put his team Australia and love of the game first... before their pay packet. Shame they don't pay the current Wallabies on RESULTS... they would not get fed!

Talia Fields' Outstanding Form

Over the weekend 11 year old Talia has competed in several open distance events and achieved outstanding results.

A 7 sec pb in the 400 free, placing 2nd.
A 5 sec Pb in the 800 free placing 2nd
Finishing with a bronze in the open 200 fly.

Dick Caine recently took his junior team out for their first swim in the mudhole on a cold and wet September afternoon. Watching the kids doing their first session Dick couldn't help but reflect on all the great memories this brought back and commented "Like I've been saying for 50 years, and my coaches before me, "the weak run in the sun, the tough in the rain"

Emma Barlows Amazing "SWIMMING POOL" Birthday Cake for her coach

Coach Dick Caine was surprised and delighted to receive this amazing "swimming pool" birthday cake from 10 year old Emma Barlow.

Celebrating his 70th Birthday this week was a special occassion for Dick and it was made all the more memorable by Emma's very special custom made "SWIMMING POOL" birthday cake, which she made at 5am in the morning before attending squad training.

Emily Caterson won gold in the Open R&R at Australian Surf Lifesaving titles on the Gold Coast.

One day you will see this lady at the Olympics in the 5000m or 10000m marathon and remember her from this photo. With her talent and dedication to training, seeking help from coach Dick Caine and Brett Dutton on the bike, she is looking the goods to go the distance.

Congratulations to Dick Caine's granddaughter, Talia Field, who won the Bronze Medal, finishing 3rd in the State for U11 Female Surf Race 2016. Well done Talia we are all proud!

Congratulations to Indiana and Talia Field what a great effort out at The Southern Region Catholic Schools Carnival - Indiana 4th junior girls relay, 1st 50m free, 1st 50m Backstroke, 2nd 50m butterfly and Talia, 2nd 100m Freestyle, 2nd 50m freestyle, 3nd 50m Backstroke 2nd 200m IM and 1st 50m Butterfly.

Liam Athanassiou current squad member of Dick Caine won his relay, 1st in 50 free, 2nd in 100 free, 4th in medley 3rd in backstroke 3rd in breaststroke and 7th fly.

Liam was age champion in his age group. Overall proud of the little bugger.
